Poinsettia Card

Hiya!
Hope all of my US friends had an enjoyable Thanksgiving last week. We (my family) did. Quiet with just the three of us, but lovely. Over the weekend I   colored up one of my favorite stamps and turned it into a card. The stamp came from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. Oh, how I loved seeing Claire's creations each month. I wasn't always able to by every stamp set, but I'm so happy I was able to get my hands on a few of her sets.
On first blush, you could say it's a simple card. After all the time to color and cut out the poinsettia, you'll probably change your mind. So, here's a step by step on how I colored it.
Look closely, …  you'll see I used a very faint ink to stamp the design on to some white card. You're welcome to stamp or draw out your design using what ever color you have. I used a very faint color because I didn't want it to show when the coloring was finished.
Then, little by little started to add color. I'll stop talking now and you can scroll the pics.

Using the same three Copic colors I colored all of the poinsettia leaves.

I left a handful of the bottom leaves to color in green.

I added and blended the same seven colors (one yellow, three reds, three greens) to get the final results. Then decided to cut the image out, and mount it using foam adhesive to the front of the card.  I used a sentiment stamp from a second WMS set to add Merry Christmas to the cover of the card.
And that's it. Hope you liked it. Put those markers, watercolors, colored pencils, crayons to use and color up some fun!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a fantastic day!
