When Life Gives You Lemons...

Short and sweet post today. I needed a cute little summery treat for a couple friends. Found these fun lemon slice candies at the store and this idea was born.

I used two layers of paper, one cardstock the other vellum, to create the "glass." I scored and folded up the bottom box-style so the glass would sit nicely. But I purposely did not score the sides of the glass so they would be more rounded like a real glass. My little treat box turned out exactly as I hoped.

Hope you like!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a lovely day.

About A Little Boy Mini Travel Album

I was invited to a baby shower for a little boy. When trying to decide what to get this brand new family for their first child I remembered how much my baby boy loved to look at pictures of himself, his family, his grandparents, etc. So I decided to create a little travel album. I originally wanted to make it with a flexible Kraft Tex cover but couldn't get it shipped to me until after the shower took place. So I reconfigured my design to have a chipboard cover. I think it turned out super cute. You'll have to let me know what you think. Here come the pics.....

This pocket is BIG! I put three mats in the pocket but they could fill it up with a dozen 5x7 pics easily.

The accordion pages will easily fit 5x7 pics on the full size pages or 3x5 pics on the half-pages.

This pocket will also hold multiple pictures up to 5x7 in size.
Here are some of the half pages that are in the middle of the accordion fold-out...

I adore this raccoon. had to turn into a little feature on this page pocket.
The cut-a-parts in this collection are so sweet I decided to feature them on some of the pages...

Ok, it was tricky trying to show how the "magic" happens with this accordion fold-out. I will do my best to explain the tricky bit to you. If you pull it straight out you get four panels each on both sides.

But on one side if you want to see the two extra hidden panels you can turn the pages like you would the pages of a book. I've filmed a video that might show it a bit better than these pics and my written explanation. I need to edit it still so watch for it in a few days.

Submitting to the Mini Album Makers Challenge blog for July.

That's it for today, and I guess for the month since it's nearly the end of July. My son starts school on Monday!! (Where did summer break go??)

Hope you all are having a wonderful summer where ever you are. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I really appreciate it.
