Graduation Gift Album 2018

Hiya!!

The end of May approaches and with it the many, many high school graduation events. A sweet friend of mine has a daughter who is graduating and leaving for school. Their family is quite close and the eldest daughter will be moving about 600 miles away. So, I made her an album to put some family photos in to take with her.  I have a video walkthrough coming soon but for now here are the photos of the finished project. WARNING: Loads of photos follow.

I ended up covering the black bit on the inside of the cover. I forgot to take a picture before I gave the album away.

I cut along the flower's edge on one cut-apart to create a pocket for the other green cut-apart.
This ticket and the small tags and the ruler piece you will see in the following pictures were also cut-aparts in the paper collection.

I used several magnets throughout the album to hold flaps and pull-outs in place. For example on this page, a magnet holds the one flap down...
... and two more magnets - one on each of these two pull-outs - keep these photo mats from falling out of the album.
A large bi-fold pull-out can be found in the side pocket of each of the pages.

This is the back of the album.
And I covered the spines in identical paper.

And that's it. I hope you enjoyed seeing the completed project. It came together very quickly for me. I'm not a fast book maker but I was able to make this from beginning to end in just two days. That isn't fast for very many people, but for me, with my needs to take necessary breaks every couple hours due to my arthritis in my neck and back, this was practically a sprint.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. Hope you've had a great day.
