Happy Birthday Aiden!

I have the cutest project to share with you today! A couple months ago my friend asked me about  making a banner for her son's first birthday party.

She wanted something that she could hang during the party and then move to his bedroom to hang in his room afterwards. She also wanted to incorporate some of his favorite books into the decor of the party and the banner.

Then I imported them into Silhouette Design Studio DE, traced them and then Print and Cut them out using my Cameo. I also created an offset for each of the characters so that I could mount them to an additional piece of cardstock for added durability.
So one day while I was at her home I took my camera and took loads of pictures. I took all of the pictures into my computer and cleaned them up and sized them down to work with the banner.
All of the banner pieces and the letters for Aiden's name were also created using Silhouette software and Cameo.
To say she was delighted with the banner is an understatement. It is still hanging in her kitchen (I've been to her home a couple of times since the party and it hasn't yet been moved to her son's room.)
I also was able to use some of my Copic skills ... Some of the printed characters came out a little lighter in color than I wanted (see the magical puppy above). I used some of my Copic markers to enhance their color a bit (see the snuggly puppies above).
I had so many extra character cut-outs from making the banner that I gave all theses cuties to my friend to use as additional decor for the party. :)

That's all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.  Hope you have a fantastic day!
