Gift: Christmas Album 2014

Hiya,
Warning: This post is picture heavy.

My son's teacher has a December birthday. We couldn't have both a birthday party for her and a class Christmas party so we are combining them. Gift cards are always a much requested gift and usually an easy one for the parents to pick up if they want to give a gift. And the gift cards are almost always inside a card. So I created an album with lots of pockets to collect all the cards/gift cards in.

Yup, twelve page inserts! Twenty four pages! plus inside front and back cover. Phew! what a project.

And once the teacher has pulled all her gifts out of her Gift Book she can use it as a Christmas album to collect her family photos in. Win-Win.

Thanks for stopping by.
Tooodles..........

Edited to add... Sorry, I was in a bit of a rush last night. Forgot to post some important details. I created the album using Kathy Orta's Paper Phenomenon Back to Basic (B2B) tutorial: Now (today) is a great time to purchase any and all of her tutorials and kits while her Black Friday sale is going on. I think for a couple more days....but you would need to check her site for details.

The patterned papers came from a 12x12 Paper Studio pad (found at Hobby Lobby) called North Pole Productions. Even with all of the pages, pockets and tags (all covered in both sides) I was able to decorate the entire album using only one piece of each design so I have lots of paper left from this collection. I see a few more Christmas book creations in my future.

The base of the book was made from medium weight chipboard and covered with black cardstock. Adhesives I used were Scor-Tape and Scotch Quick Dry.
