Pedal Pusher ... baby gift

Hiya,
I have had a lot of fun playing with my new stamp set: PaperTreyInk's Pedal Pusher. Here is the first card I've made using the set... (ink: PTI - Smokey Shadow; Recollections - Horizon; StudioG - yellow)
The cute little bear comes from WaltzingMouse's Half Pint Heroes Additions. (ink: Memento - Black; colored with Copics)
The plaid pattern also came from WaltzingMouse: Gingham & Co. (ink: PTI - Smokey Shadow)
I created the sentiment on my computer and printed it directly onto the card stock after I stamped the plaid pattern onto it.
The colors were inspired by the clothes I found for the baby. While I wasn't able to make the gift, I was happy I had time to make a cut file for the bicycle and wheels so that I could layer the stamped image onto the card.

Hope you're having a great day! Thanks for visiting.

Parade Ribbons

Hiya!
Happy Independence Day for those of you in the USA! I live in a little suburb and we don't have a city sponsored 4th of July parade, but a friend of mine gathers all the neighbors together and we encourage the kids to decorate their bikes, scooters, skateboards, ATVs, golf carts.....and we have our own little parade down the main street that runs through the housing development. The kids have a great time. The parents cheer. It's all good! And with all of the American flags out lining the drive it's very festive!
I offered to make some ribbons to give out to the kids. And then I got sick. And I forgot. So on Monday I knew I had to get a move on so that I didn't disappoint.
I kept the design simple but changed up the color patterns a bit so each one is completely unique.
I used some of the new WaltzingMouse USA 1776 stamps to add details to a few.
And on others I kept them plain and used a small star punch to add extra detail.
I kept the bling to a minimum since some of the recipients would be boys. But I had to add a little sparkle. So I just applied dots of glitter using my Stickles.

Easy peasy. Kids loved them. Minimal expense... just five pieces of card stock, some glue, ink and glitter. All adding up to a big impact.

Hope you're having a fabulous day! Thanks for visiting.

Voyager Organizer

Hiya!
Contrary to what my blog may say I have been busy, busy, busy. Swimming and summer movies with my son, preparing for family coming to visit, staying cool in the Arizona heat, recovering from random summer flu bug, ..... So much fun to have, so little time to blog.
I've got a fantastic project to show you today. When Kathy of Paper Phenomenon shared her Voyager Organizer a few weeks ago I knew I had to make one.
How cool is this??!!!  Isn't it fab? Kathy's original design has doors that close over the divided top section but I knew that I once I filled this beauty up it would all be spilling out of the top. So, I opted to leave the doors off.
Don't you just love it?! Forgive me for geeking out over it. I am kind of a dork when it comes to fabulous office supplies and organizers. {don't judge} Check out Kathy's website to learn how you to can make one of these ... or maybe you would be interested in one of her creative album designs. Really,... it's worth your time.

That's it for today. Hope you are having a terrific summer.
