Bazzill paper matcher

Ever unsure which cardstock will match that super cute patterned paper you have? Maybe the lighting in the store isn't ideal or you don't want to have to tote the papers to the store to match. Now you may not have to! Bazzill has an online MatchMaker on their website:

My friend Valerie showed me this link. It's so cool!! Use the arrows that point right and left to go through the different paper companies. They are in alphabetical order. Select a company by clicking on their logo. After the screen updates you can scroll down the page. You'll see each of the current collections available for those companies and the corresponding color choices available from Bazzill.

Super fab!
THANKS for the tip Valerie!

Coloring Ribbon to Match

A friend of mine is having a birthday in a couple days. I have wanted to make a card for several days now but just found the time to do it yesterday. I started by going through my stash of paper looking for an inspiration. I decided on this cute doodley-style paper from KaiserCrafts called Bloom Posy. It's double sided so you get both great patterns in one sheet!

Here's how the card turned out:

This is the inside:

I decided that the white stitch in the ribbon wasn't workin' for me. So I colored it. Here's a close-up showing the altered ribbon to match my cardstock. You can get more information on that here.

Have a great day!

Sale at Cardstock Headquarters!

In this day and age, discounts are NICE! So, I wanted to share the love Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net and let you know about this one:

Cardstock Headquarters is having a sale. You get $5 off when you purchase $40 worth of product. No need for special codes or coupons. Just select $40 worth of product and you'll automatically get the discount. I love it when it's easy!

Oh, and in case you didn't know, they carry much more than just cardstock. They have tools, adhesives, embellishments, all kinds of fun stuff.

The sale goes until Tuesday, May 26th. Hopefully you'll find something you like. I know I did.

Nice suit!

Here is the complimentary box to go with the dress box from yesterday:

I made a bow tie design like the "Groom" boxe I had seen, but then decided I might like it better with a long tie instead.

Then I wondered what it would look like with a ribbon tie to match the ribbon on the dress box.

Ooooo, very snappy!! And, with Father's Day quickly approaching, wouldn't this be a fun way to present a gift card??
Have a great day! I'm off to take care of a few things and then get ready for the DS Online Class we are having this afternoon!
  • Cricut DS and cartridges: George & Plantin
  • CUT FILE:** Donate button is at the top right. Please specify which file you want when you purchase.
  • Paper: S.E.I. - Winnie's Walls (Paper Popsicles)

Dress box

A friend asked if I could make a dress box for her. I was actually kind of surprised at how fast it came together. It is similar in shape and design to those seen on some of the wedding favor sites. It doesn't require any adhesive to put together and has many possibilities.

I don't have any weddings coming up but thought about how it's Prom time here where I live. The juniors shops at the mall are all filled with fancy dresses, shoes and accessories. So, instead of making my box in all white, representative of the bride, I used a cute floral patterned paper. I added some fun glitz using Stickles and a sheer sash of ribbon.

The size is small enough to tuck a yummy treat or pretty pair of earrings inside for the young lady recipient.

Hope you like it.

Paper Popsicles How To: Digital Stamps

This month at Paper Popsicles I wanted to teach a lesson incorporating the Digital Designs in a unique way. The information is posted in their How To forum on their message board. You can read all about it by clicking here. I've posted loads of pics.

The box opens like this:

Here's the card....

and here's a quick peak at the little gift inside....

Information on the box is coming. (Sorry, it's been a super busy week with teaching the online classes and creating this tutorial. ) I created the box by hand. {Gasp!} yes, it's true. No Cricut DS. But I plan to create a DS file too.

While you're at it, you might want to check out the May Blog Candy being offered up by Paper Popsicles. Holy moley!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Freebies, anyone?

Have you ever tried a digital stamp? Basically, it's line art in a computer file that you can scale to the size you want, flip and rotate it, and print it on any paper that works in your printer. They're REALLY COOL! And PaperPopsicles has some cute digital designs that they're giving away. Yup! That's right. My favorite 4-letter "f" word: {Gasp!} Free!

But wait! There's more!... If you hurry, you can make and share something with one of the Cheeky Radish designs and put your name into the running to win a $10 gift certificate to the PaperPopsicles store! Nice, huh?
Just post a link to your project in the comment section of the blog post. Super easy!!
I've downloaded a handful of designs and colored them.
I don't have any fancy coloring tools. I use my pastels and my markers.
Now I'm off to create something to attach them too.
Have a great day!

Fashionista Treat Bags

My friend Debi made these darling gift bags for the ladies that attended her daughter's birthday party. Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Are these cute, or what?!?!!

Debi filled them all with nail polish and lipgloss. Super cute idea Debi. I may have to use that idea in the future.
Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Melinda.

FYI... Debi says the bags came from the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cart. The fashionistas are from my .cut file creations.
