Another PaperTrey Challenge

I needed to create a gift today and decided to use the PaperTrey Ink Bitty Dot Challenge as inspiration. I wanted to build upon the little altered notebook from yesterday and create a Card Kit to go with it. That way the recipient could use the notebook either for notes or as an address book.

The Bitty Dot Challenge was to make a card based on the sketch that would be found when you completed a cute little dot-to-dot puzzle that Nicole posted on her blog. I created the cards following the sketch but I left the sentiment off so that the recipient could use them as she saw fit. (For example, she could use a stamp or a diecut machine to put the words Hello or Thanks in the speech bubble as pictured in the example below.)

As you can see, I was able to fit eight cards and envelopes, two tubes of dimensional gems and the little altered notebook from yesterday's project.

See, here's the notebook next to the box... nice compliment, huh?

And to tie the two together I created another monogram from shrink plastic to be the closure on the box.

Does this box look familiar? It's because I altered my Organizer box to have a flap lid instead. I really like it.

  5. Jen I love this new box you designed. I made my daughter one of the flap closers (purse-box) and shes using it for a recipe box. Im wondering what you are using for the closures and where do you get them. Velcro is to strong and makes it hard to open.
