GIFT cards

Hubby needed a couple more cards. He is giving a couple gift cards as gifts. So, I thought about it and came up with these...

First up looks like a standard card.


but when you open it up the card is securely held in its own slot



The second is a pocket card. ** Susan reminded me that I had seen this idea in the Paper Crafts magazine December 2008 issue. Thanks Susan!** It is sort of hard to tell from the photo. It's supposed to be an ornament with a tag.



When you pull on the ring at the the top the gift card slides out.



Here are the two pieces separated



Both cards have a lot of dimension to them and glitter... my photography stinks! Sorry. :(

Ornament Pocket Card
  • All Joys of the Season and Plantin Schoolbook
  • Tag: hand cut
  • Message & decoration on tag: my handwriting
  • Paper: DCWV (red, green, yellow); white is a scrap from my stash
  • Gold stickles
  • Ribbon: from Joann's
**Forgot to mention.... both fit in a standard A2 envelope.**

    The TU card will be coming after the holidays - we have both been sick.

  22. Sure hope I'm not bugging you Jen! This card with the pop up holder for a gift card is brilliant! What a G R E A T way to give a gift card. Once again can I please have the cutfile? I guess it's not hard to tell that I'm new to all of this and VERY addicted. Unfortunately I am neither computer or ds savy at this point. (working on it though)

I saw your pg with the reciepes cards what a wonderful way to share loving from the kitchen. do you use sew cuts alot program or the cricut ds?
